PROOF OF LIFE

Oblivious to crashing waves,
Sodden sand beckons.
An enthralling call,
Drawing me further away,
From desiccated landscapes.
Mountain tops in circular motion,
Become miniature with each passing minute.
Purplish hue radiates abundant beauty,
Amidst its coy revelation.
In a brief, expedient pause,
My silhouette stood tall in grandeur,
Like that of the Trojan Horse.
Unparalleled in the moment,
For my fight is finished.
Refusing to replicate the ramblings,
Of a buoyant militant,
To a place intolerant of my being.
A diminished colony,
Where magnolias remain closed,
Destined to wither away.
Unbridled, adamant stride accelerates,
Fate isn’t held hostage to a mirage,
Coursing through a parched dessert.
May the sand forever quench my feet,
Synchronously embracing every footprint.
As I welcome raucous waves,
Connected are we,
Thriving and free.

WRITTEN IN STONE

Write my name in this moistened sand
White lilies are fading
Simultaneously with the utterance
Of words abound in solemnity
Carve our dates between the gnarled oak tree
Robins flew away a minute too soon
But I kept each and every memory
Savored that happy space
Sketch my face in the corners of your mind
Whilst we reign in existence
Appoint me your hero
Battle any encroaching dark force
Armored and aligned we must be
Trotting through this portal of destiny
Me for you and you for me
Signed and sealed marvelling in eternity

ABSTRACT

Erroneous...
Spasms like a wave at sunset
Gently uniting with the sandy shore
Serendipitous collision maybe...
A tender to the touch feel
But you are gone...
Crystalline illusion that is fading fast
No prismatic rainbow
That hoists the pot of gold
What am I to receive from a naive heart?
Turmoil grasping for navigation
You are gone...
Time will indeed wane
Hills and valleys await to greet me
For I radiate warmth
Monarchs shall flutter their wings merrily
But for now no whistling from the wind
You are gone...

IN RETROSPECT

Memoirs from my memories,
Verses in my head.
My life in a globular orbit,
With every scene a highlighted pause.
A graceful sigh uttered,
Materialized moments coursing within,
To a blissful epiphany,
In a vivid aura belonging to only me.
Trajectory I follow in substantial movement.
Midnight walk along the shore,
Stroll near a myriad of sunflowers,
Encroaching twilight near immense pine trees.
Depicted with such definiteness,
Motion to my poetry,
Pillar to my every stanza.
This world reeling in the palm of my hands,
Combined with a limitless sky,
Simply waiting for me.
Memoirs from my memories,
In an unprecedented life,
Live in these eccentric moments,
Immortalized in whimsical wording.
