Let the ocean roar, my darling, I still hear your beating heart. The merciless waves can break upon jagged rocks, Beneath the sunset's lavender hue. As trials encroach, Memorable moments stay afloat. Bathed in love; clothed in truth. There is peace in pandemonium, When I look at you. Sunshine beams through the turbulence, Your sound a rhythmic beat. So let the ocean roar, my darling, You are an original masterpiece, Painted just for me. And I will hear you... (c) Monica St Hillaire, 2020.

Upon this river bank, I'll leave my troubles here. The journey is anew, It weighs too much to bear.
Middle of the ocean, Is where I'd follow you. No fright consumes my mind, My faith equipped for two.
These stars aligned for us, Please take me there with you. Hope surrounds my aura, My peace is tried and true.
Keep this here, river bank, The weight too much to bear. True love will now suffice, There is no room for fear.

The world sleeps, not to dream,
But to rest and be still.
Pain and distress cover his face,
The continents are shaking, this chain is receding,
The Ocean roars a dissimilar wave.
Can you see the stars? In the opaque sky?
Gloomy is the night, continuous even at dawn…
My echo buried in the mountains, leaving me lonely.
Scant silhouettes in the streets as the grass thirsts,
Human contact is quenching, just like the rain.
I see the rainbow from afar,
Waiting to enhance the hills and valleys.
To compliment the sun and its splendid shine,
As flowers simultaneously blossom.
Birds will soar under the blue sky,
And above an Ocean of blue.
The horizon will be… in all its glory,
Phenomenal to see…
Triumphant laughter will replace golden silence,
A hand will stretch to the weary and despaired.
And we shall live –
So let the world sleep, be still and rest,
Your awakening we anticipate.

Extended sea swell,
Conquers the placid Ocean –
Starfish washed ashore…

You love me no more,
But the flowers smell the same.
I hungered for that love;
My soul wondered in the Ocean.
I hastily grasped for life.
The message in a bottle appeared;
Said I was my worst enemy.
Is this perilous end my destiny?
Sensations now surround my heart,
Ring round magnetic poles;
My aurora beamed so bright!
Control I redeemed,
The road ahead was clear.
I breathe fresh air,
At last I am free;
A new me...
