HIDDEN TREASURES…

The keepsakes are our memories,
We made upon this earth.
Daisies in your hair,
Thrown pebbles in a pond.
Summer nights we rain danced,
Until the break of dawn.
If I had a dime for all the times,
I made you smile.
Then again,
It could never make me wealthy,
As the gems I hold deep down inside.
Heavy is the heart,
But light were the moments...
And boy did we float!
Every now and then,
I look up to the sky.
And I smile,
Even if just for a while.
Bliss blankets my being...
And I Smile.

Will you give to me the attention I crave?
Look at me like I am the only one,
In this whole world.
Reserve a corner on this earth,
For just you and I.
And don't look away,
Even if a rainbow spews out pure gold.
Angels may sing;
A melodious chorus above.
I hear the harp playing.
Serenity soothes my soul,
Hold me close...
Here, the sun never ceases to shine,
No need to worry, darling.
Fixate your eyes on me.
Take my hand, quench my thirst,
I desire an ample flow.
Your attention I crave wholeheartedly,
Let's make a memory of this moment.

STRANGERS

We had a moment...
May not be a lifetime,
But nothing has ever
Etched so firmly,
In my mind.
You gazed into my eyes...
I did the same,
You didn't have to
Say one word,
For I heard them all.

As you briskly walked away...
I saw the future,
Your hand in mine,
Your head, on my chest
You were tucked in my heart.

But I left the bookmark there...
Did not turn to the next chapter,
Love doesn't have to be long
Just pure and true.
It was sufficient.

I can't count the years...
So I made that memory count,
We had a moment
May not be a lifetime
But oh! What a beautiful moment...
