The world sleeps, not to dream,
But to rest and be still.
Pain and distress cover his face,
The continents are shaking, this chain is receding,
The Ocean roars a dissimilar wave.
Can you see the stars? In the opaque sky?
Gloomy is the night, continuous even at dawn…
My echo buried in the mountains, leaving me lonely.
Scant silhouettes in the streets as the grass thirsts,
Human contact is quenching, just like the rain.
I see the rainbow from afar,
Waiting to enhance the hills and valleys.
To compliment the sun and its splendid shine,
As flowers simultaneously blossom.
Birds will soar under the blue sky,
And above an Ocean of blue.
The horizon will be… in all its glory,
Phenomenal to see…
Triumphant laughter will replace golden silence,
A hand will stretch to the weary and despaired.
And we shall live –
So let the world sleep, be still and rest,
Your awakening we anticipate.
